He drew me out of deep waters

2 Samuel 22:17 says "He reached down from heaven and rescued me; he drew me out of deep waters"

Oh man, how good is this verse and how good is our amazing God!!

I want you to use your imagination for a second. Imagine, here on Earth, a high king sitting on his throne, having the most lavish things at his disposal, literally able to do or have anything in this world that he wanted. Imagine this same king going out of his castle and walking among the "regular" people. Imagine him sharing his riches with those people. Imagine him going to the dirtiest scariest parts of the world and helping those that are in the deepest, darkest pits. Imagine him going out of his way, not paying any mind to his own comfort, to rescue people that others would deem too far gone. It starts to become a little far fetched that anyone could be this selfless right? But that is exactly what Jesus did and that is who our God is. It doesn't matter how low you feel, how far you've fallen, it doesn't matter how many people have told you you're a failure, or you can't be saved, or you're too far gone. It doesn't matter what your social status is, it doesn't matter how much or how little money you have. It doesn't matter what kind of clothes you wear. My friend, God loves YOU, and he wants to reach down into the depths of your situation and rescue you. There is no depth God can't reach and there is no distance his hand cannot span. Even if it feels like you are drowning, call out to Him! He wants to rescue you, but He wants to be invited in, He will not force himself on you. I encourage you today to cry out to our amazing heavenly Father, invite him in and ask him to rescue you! He'll do it every. single. time!!
