Bible Journaling is a creative way to get into your Bible. Bible Journaling can be as simple as taking written notes in your Bible and it can be as elaborate as adding multiple types of mediums into your Bible.

Absolutely not! Bible Journaling is not about the art, it is about expressing yourself and your faith creatively in whatever way you desire.

No way! If you are not comfortable covering the words in your Bible they make Bibles called Interleaved Bibles that give you a blank page for every page of text. You can also journal in just the margins of a larger Illustrating Bible or simply use a notebook! There are lots of options!

I don't believe he would, I believe he wants us to get into his Word by any means. I do recommend journaling in a Bible that you have specifically designated for that purpose and using another Bible to study out of. That being said if you have a personal conviction about writing in a Bible of any kind I would recommend journaling in a notebook, you can be just as creative. They even make some beautiful art journals you could use!

You can start with something as simple as colored pencils, crayons, or markers! There certainly are A LOT of other supplies out there that are a lot of fun, but until you know if you want to dive head first into Bible Journaling, it is good to start small and always consider your budget. No supply is worth going into debt!!
